Murphy brings extensive expertise in public safety, security, and operations from his distinguished career in both the public and private sectors.

Previously, Murphy served as Deputy Mayor and Executive Director of the Department of Public Safety for the City and County of Denver, overseeing the Police, Fire, and Sheriff’s Departments, 9-1-1 Communications, and other critical safety programs. Appointed to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and other statewide intelligence groups, he played a key role in managing Denver’s response to major crises, including the global pandemic and civil unrest. Under his leadership, the city implemented innovative emergency operations, including the nationally recognized “Robinson testing site model.”

In addition to his public service, Murphy leads Robinson Corporations Security Group, which operates several businesses providing advanced security solutions across the Western United States. His flagship companies include Seca Secure, a top provider of alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and Cloq, a corporate consulting and intelligence firm.

A Denver native, Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University and a master’s degree in Public Policy and Politics from the University of Colorado Denver. Recognized for his leadership, he has earned accolades including Denver Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and the Titan 100 CEO Award.
